As was recently highlighted in our article - 50 shades of cream - there is a very wide range of similar fabrics, meaning there is a very good chance of a perfect match for every customer. When deciding upon a fabric the first consideration is usually the colour, followed by the technical properties depending on the orientation of the conservatory. Most of this range is the standard 20mm pleated fabric, though there are also honeycomb fabric options known as Duette.
Amo are part of the Hunter Douglas group which is one of the biggest blind companies in the world. Every individual fabric in the pattern books is labelled for you to check it's properties, and these books are available both in our showroom and with each of our sales advisors should you request a home appointment. The individual fabric labels include; colourway details, the maximum width of the fabric, the measure of reflectiveness, the absorbtion and transmittance, whether it is fire retardant and finally if it is classified as dimout or blackout.
The majority of the fabrics are plain light colours that work well and are popular choices for conservatories. Amongst them, apart from the choice of colour, are crush fabrics, perlex fabrics, SRC fabrics - special reflective coating (designed especially for customers with solar gain issues) - FR that are fire retardant fabrics, a few patterned options and also the Duette honeycomb fabric that was mentioned earlier and which has the benefit of having no visible cords or holes in the blinds.
